FAQ

Who can donate blood?

In general, healthy adults aged 18–60, weighing at least 50kg, with no active infections or certain chronic conditions, can donate. A doctor or blood bank staff will screen you before every donation — always follow their guidance over any general information here.

How often can I donate?

Whole blood donors are generally advised to wait about 90 days (3 months) between donations, though local medical guidance may vary. Your profile automatically tracks your last donation date.

Is my information safe?

Yes — see our Privacy Policy. Your contact details are only shared with a requester once you accept their request; your exact address is never made public.

How do I request blood for a patient?

Log in, go to Blood Requests, and tap "New Request." Nearby matching donors are notified automatically, and the request also appears in donor search.

What if I need to cancel a request?

Open the request from your Requests list and choose Cancel or Delete — only the person who created it (or an admin) can do this.
